Abstract
Five different iron salts for modified activated carbon, iron salts supported on activated carbon (GAC-Fe) was synthesized in infiltration, the GAC-Fe were characterized through X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR).The effect of different pH and initial ClO4- concentration adsorbed perchlorate, adsorption isothermal models and kinetics were studied, and its reaction mechanisms was assessed. The results showed that the removal of ClO4- was best when FeCl3supported on activated carbon, removal rate was 97%;the removal rate of ClO4-under the condition of weak acid and neutral was better, adsorption isotherm experiments showed that describe the composite material adsorption of ClO4- process Langmuir model better than Freundlich model; adsorption kinetics result showed that the adsorption of ClO4- of composite material(GAC-FeCl3) more in line with the pseudo-secondary dynamics equation.
