Numerical simulation on the partial ventilation in the single entry mine tunnel

Abstract
Single entry mine tunnel is one of the main mining surfaces. High dust concentration contributes to low quality in its working surface environment. Partial ventilation in the single entry mine tunnel is the major solution for this problem. The quality for this partial ventilation directly affects the production benefit and safety and health of coal miners. This article studies the wind characteristic of different distances from wind exit to mining surface through numerical simulation on the partial ventilation in the single entry mine tunnel. The results show that wind has limited flowing distance applying injected partial ventilation in the mining surface. The distance from the wind exit to the mining surface should be maintained within the effective wind range to guarantee effective ventilation.
