On the Method of Multivariate Linear Regression for Geo-stress Field

  • Engineering rock -mass geo -stress distribution is affected by many factors, which is hard to direct access. The basic influencing factors of the geo -stress field factors were analyzed. A multiple linear regression model was derived and established to calculate the geo-stress field. Some relevant procedures were developed with Fortran to realize automatically geo-stress field retrieval based on the engineering limited realization of measured stress field, which further improved the method of multivariate linear regression for geo-stress field. Some examples illustrate that the method is effective and practical.
