Feasibility analysis of selecting gearbox bearings indenter based on ANSYS

  • This paper makes stress and strain analysis of the press-fits of A and B modeled bearings under the condition of A model bearing indenter by using the statics analysis module of finite element software ANSYS to verify that the same output bearing indenter can be applied to press-fit bearings of two different models. Results show that both maximum stress and maximum deformation occur on the outside of upper bearing surface with safe and reliable intensity. It is verified that there is no need for indenter design and other related proofing software and hardware exclusively for B models bearing, which provides reliable technical support for the potential related problems.
