Performance analysis of oxygen bottom blowing copper smelting process using METSIM

Abstract
In view of the uncertain effect of the present bottom blowing smelting real-time operating parameters on the target parameters, the oxygen bottom blowing copper smelting process static model is developed with the help of some unit operation modules by the METSIM metallurgical process simulation software. Its reliability is verified with plant data at the same time. The paper focuses on the exploration of the effects on the oxygen bottom blowing copper smelting process performance by different operating conditions, such as the input rate of enriched oxygen, flux and concentrate. Possible reasons to the corresponding phenomena are also expounded which contribute to deepen the understanding of the process and regulate the production in factory.
