Numerical simulation of ventilation network and its validation in Hemushan iron mine

Abstract
This paper is mainly focused on the research of the ventilation network in Hemushan iron mine by means of numerical simulation and experimental validation. Firstly, in the phase of numerical simulation, the standard turbulence model and the standard SIMPLE algorithm are applied to simulate the ventilation network based on the Fluent fluid simulation software; And then, in the process of experiment validation, the JFY4 ventilation parameters gauge is used for measuring the five parameters (wind speed, air, temperature, humidity, air pressure) for each selected point. In addition, it could be concluded that numerical simulation of the mine airflow by FLUENT fluid simulation software is feasible by comparing the numerical simulation results and the measuring results. The research results can provide a basic research for the subsequent further ventilation system optimization. It also could have a guidance function to the adjustment in current ventilation system.
