Abstract: Spher ical Ni(OH)₂ is prepared by NH₃-coordinating liquid phase deposition, its morphology and distribution are observed by means of SEM, crystal structure and components are confirmed by XRD. The effects of reaction temperature, reactants concentration, stirring rate and desiccation temperature on the performance of nickel hydroxide are discussed.The optimum process parameters of preparing the fine spherical Ni(OH)₂ are that the concentration of NiSO₄ is 0.5mol/L, the concentration of NaOH is 1mol/L, the concentration of ammonia is 1mol/L, the reaction temperature is 60℃, the stirring rate is kept at 1100 r/min and the desiccation temperature is 100℃.
