Study on the mechanism of the effect of heat treatment on the mechanical properties of typical low alloy steel bars

  • 摘要: 棒材在线淬回火热处理不仅可显著降低成本,而且有利于改善材料性能。通过实验室试验、组织性能检测、有限元模拟等就典型45#钢和40Cr钢进行研究,结果表明:45#钢和40Cr钢淬硬层深度分别约为4.8,18 mm,临界冷速约72,16 ℃/s; 600 ℃高温回火保温20 min后,钢中碳化物分布弥散均匀,强塑性和沿横截面均匀性得到显著改善; 有限元仿真表明淬火中热应力变化表层先拉后压,芯部与此相反。

     

    Abstract: On-line quenching and tempering heat treatment of bars can not only significantly reduce costs, but also help improve material properties. Laboratory tests, organization performance testing and finite element simulation were performed on typical 45# steel and 40Cr steel. The results show that the depth of the hardened layer of 45# steel and 40Cr steel is about 4.8 and 18 mm, respectively, and the critical cooling rate is about 72, 16 ℃/s. After high temperature tempering and holding at 600 ℃ for 20 minutes, the carbides in the steel are distributed uniformly. Strong plasticity and uniformity along the cross section have been significantly improved. The finite element simulation shows that the thermal stress changes in the quenching: the surface layer is first pulled and then pressed, while the core is the opposite.
