Abstract:
This paper studies the roasting and leaching of copper concentrate by focusing on roasting desulfurization and arsenic removal along with removing iron from leaching solution. The amount of sulfur residue in calcined copper ranges from 1.09 % to 0.45 % and As ranges from 1.08 % to 0.73 % after two stages of roasting at low and high temperatures. Higher roasting temperature and greater leaching terminal acidity are favorable for copper leaching. High copper leaching rate can't co-exist with high iron leaching for the simultaneous leaching of copper and iron.
