Abstract:
Considering the phenomenon of Cu-5%Cr alloy fracture during drawing process, the fracture surface of the samples has been observed through scanning electron microscope. The result showed that the sample fracture is cup-cone fracture and is considered as microspore congregation fracture. In the process of drawing, the deformation of the mass dispersion Cr particles and Cu matrix is uncoordinated, which is the main reason why microspores come into being and crackles extend. It has been proved that the phenomenon of wire fracture can be effectively reduced through getting rid of surface scale, favorable lubrication and the selection of appropriate deformation extent.
