Abstract: The advantaegs and prospect on ammonia leaching in the process of zinc hydrometallurgy was introduced in the paper.It was analysed that the method had the advantages of simplified process, more varieties, easy purification and low requirement and little pollution so on.The application of the method was prospected in the 21 century, so the traditional methods of zinc hydrometallurgy were challenged by it.
