Abstract:
Based on the survey of engineering rock masses evaluation methodologies, the Origin and composition of RMR, Q & BQ system are introduced. The research findings, including theoretical background, relativity and Engineering practice are analyzed. Existing researches show that: the engineering rock masses evaluation methodology provide a shortcut to evaluate rock quality; Second, for specific projects, evaluation results better reflect the true state of rock after amending; thirdly, linear or nonlinear relationship exists between them. Some rock mechanical parameters can be estimated by using each of them. Engineering rock masses evaluation methodology becomes more reasonable and feasible by applying mathematical method.
