Abstract: The recent research situation of the preparation of the nano-structured photocatalytic materials using sonochemical method was introduced.The new achievements of the application of sonochemistry in the preparation of nano -structured metal oxides, metal sulfides, and metal salts, composites, and mesoporous photocatalytic materials were summarized.Sonochemistry is considered as an effective and promising means to fabricate the nanophotocatalytic materials with novel structures due to its unique characteristics of low temperature and simple fabrication process.
