    Abstract: Structure, preparation and application of the 12CaO·7Al2O3 material had been summarized detailedly. In the present, the 12CaO·7Al2O3 material was prepared by reaction sintering, wet chemical method, crystallization, SGCS and PLD. The 12CaO·7Al2O3 material with the cage structure, which has the unique properties of conductivity, oxidizability, luminescence and others, plays an important role in electrical, chemical, optical and other fields, and has a broad application prospects.
