Abstract: Structure, preparation and application of the 12CaO·7Al₂O₃ material had been summarized detailedly. In the present, the 12CaO·7Al₂O₃ material was prepared by reaction sintering, wet chemical method, crystallization, SGCS and PLD. The 12CaO·7Al₂O₃ material with the cage structure, which has the unique properties of conductivity, oxidizability, luminescence and others, plays an important role in electrical, chemical, optical and other fields, and has a broad application prospects.
