Abstract: Some facts are found after the metallographic analysis and hardness test on Nd metal are made.The carbon content is a significant quality target of Nd metal product during preparing Nd metal by fluoride salt electrolysis, it is also the main factor of influencing the structure and properties of Nd metal.
