Abstract:
This paper studies the electrochemical dissolution of the cobalt white alloy. Effects of parameters including the voltage, electrolyte concentration and addition agent on the current efficiency and the electrical energy consumption of the electrochemical dissolution are investigated. The experimental results indicate that the optimized technological conditions are as follows: electrolyte concentration is 0.5 mol/L, addition agent 30 g and voltage 3 V respectively. The current efficiency for performing the electrochemical dissolution under the above mentioned condition is 65.4 %.The cobalt density reaches 20 g/L, which can meet the industrialized need for producing cobalt salt.
