Abstract:
Four kinds of TiO
2 antibacterial tablets were successfully prepared for the antibacterial experimental evaluation of Escherichia coli or Staphylococcus aureus. BET, XRD, IR and SEM were used for characterization, and the minimal inhibitory concentration and minimum sterilization concentration were determined. The experimental results show that nano-TiO
2 prepared by different methods reflects different antibacterial activities. Sample 2 prepared by hydrothermal synthesis has the best antibacterial activity, and stably keeps the antibacterial coil diameter at 20 mm for 24 h. The values of the minimal inhibitory concentration and the minimum sterlization concentration of Escherichia coli are about 50 mg/L and 70 mg/L, respectively. The values of the minimal inhibitory concentration and the minimum fertilization concentration of Staphylococcus aureus are also about 50 mg/L and 70 mg/L, respectively. It is found by characterization that the antibacterial activity of the sample is related to the differences in the internal crystal form, the type and quantity of surface functional groups, as well as micromorphology, providing a positive guide for the preparation of highly-efficient TiO
2 antibacterial tablets.
