Abstract:
Seepage law is very important for engineering construction and production safety. Research on soil permeability and its influencing factors is one of the popular subjects in geotechnical engineering. The law of seepage in soil mainly depends on the physicochemical properties of fluid, soil characteristics, fluid dynamics, dispersion, and convection. It is the result of the interaction between fluid and soil. The physicochemical properties of the fluid were mainly considered in this paper, combined with the relevant research results of domestic and foreign scholars on soil permeability, and the influence and internal mechanism of those properties including fluid chemical composition, concentration, pH value, temperature and on the soil seepage law were analyzed. The results showed that the influence of fluid on soil seepage mainly occurred through the ways of changing the soil microstructure, double diffuse layers of soil, strongly bound water, chemical potential and so on. The study of soil-liquid-solid interaction was prospected and the research results could provide a reference for related engineering practice.
