Abstract:
As a new type of green solvent, hydrophobic deep eutectic solvents, similar to ionic liquids, boast excellent properties, including low vapor pressure, design for manufacturing and easy technology of preparation. With the potential of replacing traditional organic solvents and extractants, they have been garnered wide attention in the fields of extraction and separation. Upon reviewing the recent research progress of hydrophobic deep eutectic solvents in the extraction and separation of metal ions, this paper summarizes the current situation of the structural design of hydrophobic deep eutectic solvents used for extracting metal ions in recent years. The physical and chemical properties of hydrophobic eutectic solvents and their relationship of composition are analyzed. On the basis of introducing the current situation of eutectic solvents used in metal ion extraction, this paper projects the future development of hydrophobic eutectic solvents used in metal extraction and separation processes.
