Abstract:
Steel forging is a kind of grinding medium dominated by wire contact. The three-stage sample of 1.18~2 mm, 0.6~1.18 mm and 0.3~0.6 mm and the actual production of the second-stage sedimentation sample were taken as the research object, and the batch grinding test was carried out by using equal-quality steel balls and steel forging. The particle size distribution and grinding energy distribution of the grinding products were analyzed. The test results show that steel forging is a fine grinding medium. Compared with steel balls, grinding products have the same particle size distribution law and conform to the JK particle size fracture model. However, under the same grinding conditions, the steel forging and grinding is not as productive as steel balls. However, as the feed particle size becomes finer, the grinding effect of steel forging begins to appear. The difference between the P80 value and the steel ball in the grinding product is only 0.22 %, and the difference between the t10 value and the steel ball is only 2.23 %. At the same time, the content of < 0.010 mm in the grinding products is significantly lower than that of the steel balls, and the crushing is light. When the actual tungsten ore of < 0.425 mm is used as the sample for grinding, the same conclusions are given above. Theoretically, although the steel forging is inferior to the steel ball, the qualified grain content of the steel forging is higher than that of the steel ball., the pulverization is lighter than the steel ball, and the fine grinding of brittle minerals is an excellent grinding medium choice.
