Abstract:
The electrochemical reduction process and control procedure of Sr
2+on tungsten electrode at 1253 K in LiF-SrF
2-SrO molten system was studied by cyclic voltammetry, chronoamperometry and chronopotentiometry methods using three-electrode system and electrochemical workstation AUTOLAB. The results showed that the reduction potential of Sr ion was at around -1.0 V on tungsten electrode compared with platinum electrode. The reduction process of Sr ion on tungsten electrode was occurred in a single step with the exchange of two electrons. Chronoamperograms indicated that the cathode process was controlled by the diffusion step of ions and the diffusion coefficient was 6.07×10
