Abstract:
In this paper, LiNi
0.6Co
0.1Mn
0.3O
2 materials were synthesized via co-precipitation and high temperature solid state reaction. The obtained materials were investigated by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) technique and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Then LiNi
0.6Co
0.1Mn
0.3O
2 materials were fabricated into a button cell and the electrochemical properties were investigated. The results show that the discharge capacity of LiNi
0.6Co
0.1Mn
0.3O
2 material increases with the increase of sintering temperature and shows the optimal electrochemical properties at 900 ℃. The initial discharge capacity of the
n(Li)/
n(Ni+Co+Mn)=1.09 material reaches 143.7mAh/g at 1C rate with lithium dosing of 1.09 at the room temperature, and the specific discharge capacity of the cathode material retains at 141.3 mAh/g with capacity retention ratio of 98.3 % after 50 cycles.
