Abstract:
Electrochemical behaviors of tungstate ion on gold, silver electrode were studied by three-electrode system in electrochemical workstation. The results show that WO
42- electrochemical reduction process is irreversible on silver and gold electrode in 0.05 mol/L Na
2WO
4 aqueous system at 298 K. The numbers of transferred electrons of WO
42- on silver and gold electrode are 3 and 4, respectively. The reactions of tungstate ion on silver eletrode are WO
42-+2e→WO
3 2-+O and WO
3 2-+e→WO
2 - +O, while WO
42-+2e→WO
32-+O and WO
3 2-+2e→WO
22-+O are on gold electrode.
