Abstract:
Five non-rare earth impurities of Al, Si, Ca, Mg, Mn in Yttrium-iron Alloy were determined by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry(ICP-AES). 0.2000g of Y-Fe alloy sample was dissolved in 10 mL of 6mol/L hydrochloric acid, then transferred to a 100mL flask, and then diluted with distilled water for test. The analytic lines were selected by profile scanning method to screen the optimum lines with flat background, high signal to background ratio and low matrix interference from several pre-selected lines. Three standard solutions were prepared by matrix match method of 65%Y-35%Fe. The method obtained is suitable to determine Al, Si, Ca, Mg, Mn contents in the range of 0.003%-0.1% and the RSD is between 0.74% and 4.58% (
n=11). Standard addition method was applied for accuracy test and the recovery rate is in the range of 92.30%-105.00%.
