Abstract:
Using 6063 industrial aluminum profile as the case, the three-dimensional model was introduced into Altair Hyperxtrude software for simulation analysis. The effects of extrusion ratio, billet preheating temperature, die preheating temperature, extrusion tube preheating temperature and extrusion speed on metal flow were investigated. The influence of extrusion parameters on the velocity distribution on the profile cross sections and the ram force were analyzed based on orthogonal table Taguchi methods. The results show that for the index parameters of velocity distribution on profile cross section, the optimum parameters of the extrusion are as follows: the billet diameter is 205 mm, the extrusion speed is 3.2 mm/s, the preheat temperature of the billet is 480 ℃, the preheat temperature of extrusion die is 470 ℃, and the preheat temperature of the container is 440 ℃. For the index parameters of the ram force, the billet diameter is 200 mm, the extrusion speed is 1.4 mm/s, the preheat temperature of the billet is 490 ℃, the preheat temperature of extrusion die is 480 ℃, and the preheat temperature of the container 460 ℃.
