Abstract:
A new type of high zinc alloy HSn65-0.03 has realized large-scaled production with the advance of radiator cooling pipe strip production technology. The main strip adopts horizontal continuous casting process, which is prone to porosity and segregation defects. Horizontal continuous casting technology is the key to the stable quality of the high zinc alloy HSn65-0.03. Through analyzing the characteristics of industrial HSn65-0.03 horizontal continuous casting strip process, and comparing with the ordinary H65 billet horizontal continuous casting process, this paper puts forward the key points for producing HSn65-0.03 strip. Analyses of slab composition, microstructure and dezincification layer reveal the effects of horizontal continuous casting parameters on the strip quality. The horizontal continuous casting technical control, common quality defects and solutions are suggested.
