Abstract:
This research focuses on the following 5 types of rare earth ores: ionic type A (rich lanthanum little yttrium ion type), type B (medium yttrium rich europium ion type), type C (rich yttrium ion type), Baotou mixed type and nitrogen fluoride cerium ore. By applying the method of Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP), this research analyzes factors affecting the choosing of the types of rare earth resources to be sealed up from the following perspectives: producing, consuming trends, the functionality, prospect, scarcity of major types of rare earth, the level of environmental hazards and the environment treating difficulties. Both qualitative and quantitative index systems for the choosing of the types of rare earth resources to be sealed up are established. The qualitative index system can be set to the following 5 levels through the scores given by experts. By applying these index systems, the valuation scores of the types of rare earth in source sites are determined. According to the hierarchical rank of the valuation scores, the order of rare earth in source sites are set as follows: type C(rich yttrium ion type), type B (medium yttrium rich europium ion type), type A(rich lanthanum little yttrium ion type), nitrogen fluoride cerium ore, and Baotou mixed type. The simulation calculation can provide theoretical basis for national policy-making departments in choosing archived reserves of rare earth minerals.
