Abstract:
NaOH was added as precipitating agent to the solutions of zirconyl chloride hydrate and barium chloride. Zirconia-baryta materials were obtained by sintering BSZ precursors produced by co-precipitation method. X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy were used to study the crystallization behavior and particle morphology of BSZ powder. The Experiment results show that the optimal technological conditions of synthesizing BSZ powders were, stirring rate is 280 rad/min, pH is 10, reaction temperature at 80 ℃, and pre-sintering temperature at 800 ℃.
