Abstract:
Brass, as one of the important alloys of copper alloy products, has excellent mechanicalproperties and corrosion resistance. If a small amount of alloy elements, such as manganese, aluminum, etc, are added in the alloy, its tensile strength and wear resistance could be improved significantly. Thetechnology is widely used in precision manufacturing industry. This paper reviews the research status andperformance characteristics of high strength and wear-resistant brass. The main factors affecting the alloyperformance are discussed, including, alloy organizational structure, secondary distribution phase, heattreatment process. Some prospects of its development are put forward.
