Abstract: Chinese patent applications in decomposition of tungsten ore were searched in China Patent Retrieve System Abstract Database. The search results indicted there were 37 patent applications in this field. This article analyzes the patent applications’ regional and time distribution, applicants and patent approval. The following are the results: Hunan has the largest number of applications, with Central South University being the largest one; the general trend of application is upward with time passage; the patent authorized rate is 56 % ; some major applications are introduced.
