Rheo-diecasting technology and application of aluminum and magnesium alloy

  • Rheo -diecasting technology had obvious advantages in improving the mechanical properties and reducing internal defects of castings, which was an advanced material forming process. The development of our semi-solid slurry preparation equipment for aluminum and magnesium alloy in recent years was introduced, and the research progress and results of TBR & FCR rheo-diecasting technology in application were presented. Then the mould filling behavior of the rheological slurry and liquid metal was compared by numerical simulation. The results showed that the filling of rheo-diecasting was stable and the casting shrinkage defects could be reduced effectively.
