On the Systematic Structure and Key Technologies of GMLGIS

  • GML has highlighted advantages than the past methods in solving the problems of geographical information-sharing, but the existing software can't operate it directly, the receiver should convert it to another data format, obviously, it brings a great deal of troubles. The main focus of the paper is to design a GIS system that operates GML data directly. The main contents of the article are about researching the key technologies of the system, such as the schema of the parsing, the schema of the indexing and the organization of the spatial data. The experimental results show that GMLGIS solve the problem of spatial data sharing perfectly.
