Abstract
With the continuous exploration and utilization of underground space, the uplift of basement occurs frequently. How to solve anti-floating of underground structure has become a very critical problem. By comparing European and Chinese standards on load classification of groundwater buoyancy, determination of anti -floating water level, calculation of water buoyancy, values of load partial factors, and calculation of floating resistance etc., we suggest that the anti-floating design standards in China need to be improved.
