The Industrial Applications of Centrifuge to the Fine Tungsten Ores Recovery

  • There are a wide variety of associated minerals in a tungsten ore in which the grade of the WO3 is very low. The wolframite and the scheelite were mixed and the ratio of the protogenetic ore and the weathering ore varies considerably. The former technology flow, "flotation in normal temperature-flotation in high temperature-low intensity magnetic separation -high intensity magnetic separation-gravity separation of high frequency shaking table", is applied to recover the fine tungsten ores. Due to its complicated technology, time-consuming and high cost, the main technological and economic indicators are not satisfactory. We uses the centrifugal concentrator selection process to substitute the former technology. A concentrate assaying 22.29 % WO3 is obtained with 65.32 % WO3 recovery.
