The paper introduces a process of producing lanthanum metal in 2000A graphite electrolysing pot surrounded by iron-shell, and producing lanthanum metal by electrolysing lanthanum oxide in fluoride melting salt.Determining the life of pot, through a observation for production, and a counting for the total working hours of pot, ,at the same time, collecting some data of 9 pots and analysing these data.
