Study on recovering Fe from red mud with SLon vertical ring and pulsating high gradient magnetic separator

  • Focus on the complex compositions and fine fraction of red mud in Pinguolu Co, recovering Fe from red mud with SLon vertical ring and pulsating high gradient magnetic separator. Good results are gained in small-scale test and semi-industrial test : the Fe content in Fe concentrate is 54.70%, the recovery ratio is 35.36%. The Fe concentrate from test is used as raw material of smelting Fe in high furnace. This is a successful way of recovering Fe from red mud by Bayer process.
