Finite Element Analysis on Full Suspension Converter Torque Rod Used in Copper Smelting

  • The torque rod is fractured and bent due to section fatigue in a steelmaking factory. This paper studies the stress distribution and reverses displacement under converter's greatest tilting torque circumstances based on Ansys Workbench of Pro/E to create the torque rod entity modeling and determine the mechanical characteristics of the torque rod. The experimented data can be applied to the design, manufacture and security operation of the torque rod.
