Research progress of carbon deposition on catalysts during the partial oxidation of methane

  • Carbon deposition is an important factor affecting the performance of catalyst during methane conversion to synthesis gas. This paper studies the relationship between catalyst inactivation and carbon deposition, and the factors which affect carbon deposition based on the reaction mechanism of catalytic partial oxidation of methane and catalyst system. Changing the active components and loading volume, adding addictives, regulating carrier, improving preparing method and applying oxygen storage materials are the key factors improving the ability of catalyst to resist carbon deposition. The technology of lattice oxygen catalytic by partial methane oxidation to synthesis gas has promising industry application.
