Determination of the Contents of Aluminum in Rare-earth Ferroalloy with ICP-AES Method

  • By dissolving the sample in hydrochloric acid, the rare-earth is precipitated with use of oxalic acid and separated from aluminum in the solution. The determination of the content of aluminum in the solution is done with ICP-AES method. The conclusion is that the rate of recovery of aluminum is between 90% and 99%, the RSD of the method is less than 3% and the detection limit of the method is 0.045μ g/mL.
