Research Development of Intensifying the Process of Seeded Precipitation from Caustic Aluminate Solutions with Surfactants

  • Large numbers of investigations on the structure of sodium aluminate solution has been done by domestic and oversea researchers, however, the qualitative particularity of sodium aluminate solution and the complexity of seeded precipitation process of sodium aluminate solution result in the disappearance of accordant microcosmic point of view about this process. Different researchers present diverse methods to intensify the decomposition process under the circumstance that the mechanism is not clear. Recently researchers have focused on the surfactants. The advances on seeded precipitation mechanism of solution aluminate solution and intensifying this process with surfactants are systematical summarized lately, the research results show that adding surfactants at the production process of alumina to enforce the decomposition process of sodium aluminate solution and improve the product quality is regarded as having a great applying prospect.
