Technology design and practice of pyrites and arsenic sulfide recovery in Chehe dressing plant

  • The low-grade cassiterite multiple metallic sulfide ore processed by Chehe dressing plant is produced in Tongkeng mine, Dachang mine field. The Chehe plant mainly recycles tin, lead, antimony and zinc minerals instead of pyrites and arsenic sulfide which is cast away into the total tailings all the time. But bench test indicates that sulfur concentrate and arsenic concentrate can be separated from Zn flotation tailings successfully by the flow sheet of floatation-magnetic separation-gravity concentration. A workshop for pyrites and arsenic sulfide recovery, whose feeding processing capacity is 210 kt/a, is designed and built. Its annual design capacity is 840 t low-grade tin concentrate(Sn 5.5 %), 92400 t sulphur concentrate and 22100 t arsenic concentrate. The investment of engineering design is 10.604 million RMB yuan. The project was formally put into production in 2009, and has achieved favorable economic and social benefit.
