  • By calculating the normal anode-cathode distance for common aluminum reduction cell and posing the concepts of "three layers composing model" and "limited anode distance", the paper explains the good production data by low cell voltage producing according to these concepts. The possible energy consumption of electrolysis aluminum, that is electrolysis direct current consumption can reach at 9500kWh/t-Al when anode current density is 0.8A/cm2, is predicted.
