Application practice of slow cooling technology for copper smelting slag

  • Beneficiation and re-smelting of copper pyrometallurgical slag is an important means of comprehensive utilization of slag resources, which can improve the recovery rate of copper in the whole plant. Slag cooling is an important process before slag beneficiation, and its technological scheme has great influence on slow cooling effect and beneficiation indicators. At present, the technical scheme adopted in various copper smelting slag slow cooling plants have their own advantages and disadvantages. The slag ladle arrangement, equipment configuration and new technology application practice of various slag slow cooling plants are discussed, which provides a reference for the scheme selection of copper smelting slag slow cooling plants. Furthermore, the key development direction of slag slow cooling technology is prospected.
