Abstract
Aluminum alloy has become the second largest metal material in industrial application because of its advantages of low density, high strength, corrosion resistance and good processing performance. With the decline of primary aluminum production and the expiration of service life of aluminum alloy materials, the recycled aluminum industry, with the characteristics of saving minerals and energy, high economic and social benefits and sustainable development, has gradually attracted wide attention. However, the properties of recycled aluminum are often reduced due to mixed composition and other reasons. Therefore, the method to improve the performance of recycled aluminum alloy has become the focus of research in related fields. This paper introduced the research progress of methods to improve the performance of recycled aluminum alloys at home and abroad in recent years, summarized the development of scrap aluminum pretreatment, alloy composition adjustment, melt refining, and hot working technology, outlined the latest research progress of improving the properties of solid state recycling aluminum alloys, and put forward the prospects for developing recycled aluminum technology.
