Countermeasures of reducing residual resources by in-situ leaching of ionic rare earths

  • The weathering crust ion-adsorbed rare earth ore is a national strategic resource, strengthening the comprehensive utilization of waste rare earth resources and fully recovering the residual rare earth elements are one of the important research directions in the future of rare earth research. On the basis of summarizing the development and evolution of the extraction technology of ion-adsorbed rare earth minerals, this paper mainly analyzes the causes of rare earth residues in the abandoned ion type rare earth minerals and their occurrence status. The results show that the main factors of rare earth residue in ionic rare earth waste ore include leaching blindness, capillarity, incomplete weathering and reverse adsorption. To this end, in view of the causes of rare earth residue, combined with experimental research, countermeasures are proposed for reducing rare earth residue and further leaching to recover ionized rare earth. The summary analysis results can provide a reference for green and efficient extraction of ionic rare earth ore and reducing residual rare earth resources.
