Research progress of oxygen evolution noble metal coated titanium anode

  • In recent years, the noble metal coated titanium anode is a new type of anode with broad application prospects, especially in the electrochemical system represented by non-ferrous metal electrolysis, showing great development potential. In this paper, the important work and progress in the research and development of noble metal coated titanium anode in oxygen evolution environment at home and abroad were reviewed. The modification of different methods of IrO2-Ta2O5 coating was emphasized. The advantages and disadvantages of these methods were reviewed. At the same time, the failure mechanism of noble metal coated titanium anode was introduced, and its development was prospected.
