Synthesis and electrochemical performance of single crystal LiNi0.83Co0.1Mn0.07O2 cathode material

  • In this research, single-crystal LiNi0.83Co0.1Mn0.07O2 cathode material was synthesized by co-precipitation-high temperature solid phase method. Methods like XRD, SEM and constant current charge and discharge test were used to analyze the crystal structure, morphology and electrochemical performance of the materials. The test results show that the material forms single crystal particles with good morphology. And the material with low Li+/Ni2+ ion mixing degree has a good a-NaFeO2 layered structure. At 2.75~4.3 V, the 0.1 C first discharge specific capacity of the button cell reaches 209.63 mAh/g, the coulomb efficiency is 91.19%, and the capacity retention rate after 100 cycles of 0.2 C is 100.09%.
