Research progress in the application of carbon nanomaterials in refractories

  • Carbon nanomaterials has quickly become a popular research object among researchers owing to its excellent mechanical properties, stable chemical properties and thermal stability. It shows broad application prospects in various fields. Scientific research progress has been made in the application of carbon nanomaterials in refractories. In this paper, we summarize the research results of using carbon nanomaterials to improve the mechanical properties of refractories, illustrate methods for introducing carbon nanomaterials into refractories, like direct addition method and in-situ growth method, compare the advantages and disadvantages of various methods for adding carbon nanomaterials, and predict the application and development trend of carbon nanomaterials in refractories industry.
