Abstract
Taking the slope of Eastern Dapingzhang Copper Mine in Pu'er City in Yunnan Province as an example, this paper is aimed to study the influence of the structure on the stability of high rock slopes. Through the graded analysis of rock mass engineering stability of large open pit mines, according to the matching of rock mass structure surface and mine slope scale, rock stability analysis was conducted to the overall slope, combined step slope and step edge of the eastern slope of Dapingzhang copper mine successively. We successfully found the key structural planes and combinations that control the slope stability. The comparison with the experimental and on-site analysis shows that the structure had a great influence on the step slope and the overall eastern slope, but had little influence on the combined step slope. At the same time, the step slope was relatively small compared to the overall eastern slope, so its structure had less influence on the overall eastern slope. Finally, Midas-GTS was used to establish a three-dimensional finite element model of the eastern slope with the structural plane considered and not, theirk0 stability calculation analysis and comparison were carried out.
