Abstract
In this paper, the limited links of RH smelting cycle and the factors in high electricity and electrode consumption of LF per ton steel were investigated. The average smelting period of RH reduced from 34 minutes to 28.3 minutes, with a capacity of 15000 tons per month, through ladle covering in all processes, changes of feeding mode of silicon steel, improvement in the heating effect of the new ladle, optimization of decarburization process, electric gear position and amount of slag addition. The electrode consumption of LF furnace reduced from 0.37 kg/t to 0.29 kg/t, and electricity consumption reduced by 5.36 kwh/t per ton steel. As a result, favorable economic benefits were achieved with the direct economic benefit of 19.6693 million yuan.
